Being social makes us information slaves. We spend 41% of our online time searching, filtering and reading information. For most of us that’s one full day every week and the more social you are the greater the time!
Why are we drowning ourselves in data?
For the same reason people climb mountains—because it’s there.
The 21st Century is an information era. Business is global and economies are interlinked, so we need to know what’s going on in the world. We want to have fun, to find insights for our projects, educate ourselves for our work, business, personal improvement and to make our lives better.
But does it really have to take so much time? Do we really need all the incidentals, drama, and lolcats that arrive in our feeds?
Not really. Did you know that statistically only abut 3-7% of links in most Facebook or Twitter feeds are worth opening, let alone reading?
LikeHack changes all that by automatically cutting through the clutter and noise thereby reducing the time spent doing it manually.
LikeHack is a simple, easy, free service that turns your Facebook and Twitter feed into a truly personal content feed by automatically filtering the TMI posts, status updates, etc. LikeHack also provides two kinds of custom filters, one uses keywords to exclude content and the other filters media—photos, video and music,
LikeHack does even more by acting as your own personal Google. It is a full-text search engine for all the links you’ve ever liked, tweeted, shared, sent by Gmail or that friends have shared with you. That makes it simple to find the link to something you saw months (or even years) ago.
We created LikeHack to save our own sanity and then decided to share it with the world. Our vision is to create a personal content curation service that snags the most relevant content from social sources, thus improving our lives.
Our journey is just beginning and we thank you for joining us!
